2024 REcap

Looking ahead to 2025

As a new year approaches there are 3 questions that I always ask myself:

  1. Where have I been?

  2. Where am I now?

  3. Where am I going?

These 3 questions help me to feel gratitude and appreciation for all that I have. Even with loses over the year, it helps me to realize that they may not have truly been a loss. They are “wins” that are getting me to answer the question “where am I going?”

Where was I in 2024?

Honestly, over the last year, I’ve still been in the same commercial gym that got me to move to Charlotte. Nothing has really changed with that facility in particular expect I was given a few more responsibilities.

But over the last year, I have greatly realized my path in fitness. I’ve been able to see my desire to help Fitness Professionals make a career in the Fitness Industry. I would like to say that deep down this is something that I’ve always known but I am not sure that I could. I would say that I’ve enjoyed that aspect of my career. But not something that I strongly desired. However, over the last year, it has become more and more apparent that this is the direction that I desire.

It is definitely a new path that I will be explore more and more in the years to come. I have just seen too many amazing trainers leave the industry purely from lack of guidance and direction.

It really only takes proper guidance to give someone the traction to change lives.

Answering the question “Where I am now?” can be a bit tricky. But let’s dive in.

I still live in a little bit of imposter syndrome. It creeps in from time to time. Every monday, I take time to listen to a mentally podcast. You can check it out here. It helps me to get my mind straight for the week ahead. I also make sure that I spend time showing gratitude each week. I list out 3 words of affirmation that I remind myself of every day for the week. Has anything changed by doing this? Honestly, unsure but I am staying hopeful and positive that it will. My individual business isnt quiet where I had hoped it would be. But I also was not giving it the amount of attention that it deserved. I had been focusing on my in person training business to help offset some costs that I had acquired over the year. I moved apartments this year, I realized that the luxury of my previous apartment was NOT actually serving me. It was creating more stress for me to have to maintain. Its actually been funny because everyone that saw my previous apartment said that my current one is “wayyy more homie.” I would agree that it feels more like a home. It even feels alittle more spacious as well. Which is insane because it is almost 400 square feet smaller. Over the last year, I’ve realized I need to take more time for myself outside of fitness. I need to prioritize find a community and a village that is not part of my job. Has this been successful? Well not really. But I will be focusing on this more in 2025.

Where am I going?

Well, I am still staying in Charlotte for the foreseeable future. I have loved almost everything about being here. Really, I have loved the person growth that I have experience. Its been a challenge but I loved every second of it. It has its moments of loneliness, but most things in life have this same feeling. In 2025, I will be diving VERY VERY VERY deep into business coaching for personal trainers. I strongly desire to help trainers really build a career without having to have multiple jobs. I want to provide the mentorship that allows trainers to feel confident while making an income. A full time income for an in person personal trainer is sometimes a far fetched thought. But it doesn’t need to be. It can be very much a lucrative career without selling butt pictures or extreme diets. YOu don’t even need to sell high ticket training packages. You also can do it fully in person without going completely online. These are the things I want to show trainers that is possible.

I will also be revamping Exercise Corrected more into a membership base training program. This gives members the chance to train for multiple things instead of just a one dimensional style of training. Think more online gyms instead of specific 30 day or 60 day programs.

More to come on that, join the email list to learn more.

Anyway, this is me in a nutshell for 2025. I look forward to the growth that is about to come. I am grateful for all of you to be part of this community, especially if you’ve been here years previously. Honestly, this is the first time that I feel like I have so much clarity going into 2025. If you’re looking to really support in 2025, I’d appreciate it if you would share this post or any of my posts with at least 2 people that you know. That truly helps me move the needle forward toward my goals.

But again, i am grateful for you! Thanks for being here!
