3 Exercises to Help increase

Shoulder Mobility

When it comes to increasing mobility of certain joint you want to look at the muscles that surround the area.

Mobility refers to the joints ability to move through a full range of motion actively.

In regards to the shoulder, there are multiple smaller muscles that need to be considered. Smaller muscles like infraspinatus, supraspinatus and teres minor. Even the shoulder itself has three muscles: anterior, middle and posterior delt.

So when looking to improve mobility we need to find exercises that engage all of the muscles not just the specific muscles of the shoulder.

3 Specific Exercises:

Superband Pull aparts- Rear delts, Rhomboids and Traps

Superband Dislocators- Rotator cuff

I, Y, T Raises- Rotator cuff, Anterior Deltoid

Movements like these are a very intricate part of any program within Exercise Corrected. We either incorporate these during the warm up to help engage the proper muscles that about to be worked. Or we add them as accessory exercises to major lifts to help engage the smaller muscle groups in stabilization.
